Can You Win Free Stuff by Playing the Numbers Found in Fortune Cookies?

By Paul R Turner

You may have been amused the last time you were in a Chinese restaurant to see that the fortune cookies given out at the end of the meals have lottery numbers in them. But has anyone every really won free stuff by using the numbers found in fortune cookies?

Believe it or not, a couple of people have won lottery jackpots and other free stuff by using the number combination's they found inside fortune cookies. Apparently the practice of putting lottery numbers in fortune cookies is becoming a widespread practice among fortune cookie manufacturers. People seem to give more credibility to the numbers that are inside the cookie simply because it is a "fortune" cookie, and thus they are willing to play the numbers.

Many lottery players have stated that the messages inside cookies have turned out to be omens of good luck. This was the case recently for an Indianapolis, Indiana man and his girlfriend. The man said the message inside his cookie foretold "fast financial turns" in his immediate future. His companion's cookie predicted that "someone dear to her" was going to become financially stable. The next day he won $11 million in the Indiana Power ball game.

A few days ago, my wife and I received cookies with the Chinese takeout we brought home. Sure enough, inside were two slips of paper. on one side of the slips were these truisms: "You have an ability to sense and know higher truth," and "You have an active mind and a keen imagination." Both these statements were clearly true. On the back of these slips were two lottery combinations, but neither of us won any money or free stuff by playing those numbers.

Conference Bags - Free Stuff at Conferences Isn't Always Useless

By Nellwyn Smith

Conference bags as freebies? For my job I travel all over the world attending conferences. While this sort of jet setting may seem glamorous, it can get tiring living out of a suitcase. If there is one thing I have learned by attending so many conferences, it is what a vast array of promotional material is distributed at these events. Every conference is unique in terms of what promotional material is available. Some vendors like to give away cute little desk toys that are broken or lost usually before I check out of the hotel. Other's go upscale and provide conference bags, something useful.

What vendors give away, or offer as incentives if you purchase their product says a great deal about a vendor. Two to three times a year I end up at a conference where a particular vendor is giving away conference bags. These bags not only have a company logo, but also the name and date of the conference. This is pure class! Giving away things at conferences is pretty standard marketing now. However, it is the rare company that gives away something that is useful after the conference is over.

The conference bags this particular company has come in three varieties. There are the ones they give away just for spending some time with them (I have two of them in different colours). The tote bags are sturdy and well made, but also are probably inexpensive enough to provide a quality marketing tool without costing them an arm and a leg. Since I still use one of these bags when I'm at the office and one of my kids carries another bag to school, the bags are getting used. Then there is the bag if they give if you actually purchase their software package. They had a back pack style bag last year and are now offering a sport bag, large enough to actually take my stuff to the gym. I've been drooling over one of these bags for months now. The last variety is the one the staff gets to use while traveling and these are uber sweet meeting bags. The company logo is tastefully stitched on the side and large enough to carry a laptop and their essential paperwork.

I don't know that I'm ready to quit my job and go to work for this other company. But I will say, their conference bags have certainly made an impression.

Take a gander at the assortment of Conference Bags and Conference Back Packs at Australia's leading Conference Supplies store today. We won't just give you someone to take your order, we give you our entire team based on your requirements.

Getting Free Stuff by Mail - It's So Simple

By Kathy A Parker

The art of getting free stuff by mail is one that many consumers overlook but can be extremely lucrative if you know the right steps to take. Now I now that some say "There's no such thing as free," and I'm here to tell you that these people are DEAD WRONG! Let me explain.

Major corporations spend millions of dollars each and every year sending free stuff by mail to consumers for one simple reason. They know that if you're satisfied with your sample, more than likely you be become a regular customer and spend money with them. Every business knows that the best customer is a return customer, so it's their job to get you "hooked" on their product and turn you into a long, loyal customer.

Just about any major company that you can think of offers free samples. These samples range anywhere from diapers to skin cream. Sports drinks to deodorant. Baby food to video games. You name it, there is probably a way for you to get a free sample.

To get all this free stuff by mail, you will have to give them some very basic information. Some things that they will ask for is your mailing address and possibly your email address. Don't worry, there are not going to spam you to death or send you a bunch of junk mail. For the most part, if you do receive anything else from the company it will only be for special promotions that they may be running. If you don't want to buy anything else from them, you don't have to. It really is that simple.

I've personally know people that would spend hours everyday looking for the best deals or for that matter, "anything free". You would be amazed how much stuff these companies will send you if you look in the right places.

The art of getting free stuff by mail can be extremely time consuming if you don't know where to look. Fortunately, there are places where you can find all the top deals at one time such as http://nocardsneeded.com

They specialize in free samples and eliminate the hours of searching online for the best free stuff by mail
